For the past few weeks i have noticed that the syncing of my iPhone has stopped working. I have basically been ignoring it. When iTunes has got to the sync of the calendar information, it just continues for ever and never stops. On one occasion i left it for around 5 hours.
I decided to try and sort it out.
Searching the web for inspiration has found many people with the same problem but no solution.
In iTunes in Edit -> Preferences
There is a ‘Reset Sync History’ Button
Performing a ’sync reset’, seems to clear the problem, all other attempts like removal of calendars and adding of the calendar again failed.

amazon, wiki, phorm, webwise – robots.txt

This week has seen both
amazon [BBC News] and Wiki [Wiki]
request an opt out from Phorm/Webwise scanning system.
Phorm/Webwise currently only allows websites to opt-out by email [BT Webwise].
Its a real shame they are not following the robots.txt file correctly by their name instead of checking generic search robot exclusions.
A simple (an example – not valid):
would then allow websites to easily stop the phorm/webwise scanners.
Hopefully with time, this ability will be added by the people at phorm.
