In the news today are plenty of references to the National Debt Clock in america, its been there for years but has now run out of digits.

As a temporary solution, the ‘$’ sign has had to be removed, to make way for an extra ’1′.

The owners are apparently going to add another two more digits to the clock – that would then allow it to show what is in effect a massive number. A quadrillion dollars. A huge debt.
